FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?
I offer an initial introductory session free of charge which lasts about 45 minutes. During this time we can explore what you are looking for and it is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and whether I am the right person for you. If it doesn't feel right I can help with referring you to a colleague.

How often do we meet?
Sessions take place once a week, at the same time each week and last for one hour.

How long does therapy last for?
Therapy can be short-term or long-term depending on what you are bringing. Initially we would work together for six sessions and then review together whether to work for a set period of time or open-endedly.

What is the fee?
My current fee is £50 per session.
I also have a limited number of lower cost spaces that take into account your particular circumstances. We can explore what would feel fair and possible for both of us.

How do I know you work safely?
I have regular supervision and I work in accordance with the Codes of Ethics of my training organisation the Karuna Institute, the BACP and UKCP.

Where are you located?
I practise from my home, just outside of Moretonhampstead, and I can also offer sessions in central Exeter.
